Everybody knows Tracey Beaker Jacqueline Wilson's beloved character. But what do they know about Jacqueline herself? In this fascinating book, discover...... how Jacky dealt with an unpredictable father, like Prue in Love Lessons. Hamleys, like Dolphin in The Illustated Mum......how she sat entrance exams, like Ruby in Double act.
But most of all discover how Jacky loved reading and writing stories. From the very first story she wrote, it was clear that this little girl had vivid imagination. But who would've guessed that she would grow up to be a bestselling, award-winning author!
Review ~
Jacqueline Wilson is one of my favourite authors since year 5 and this book is really interesting beacause it tells you about her life from day one. It also tells you about parts of her life which helped write her bestselling books. The pictures are really cool too, beacause 1: you get to see her when she was little (she was so cute!!), and 2: you get to see the olden day clothes and dolls, which is really cool.
Three things i liked about this book were:
1: How you learn about her childhood and what she's gone through.
2: That at the end of each chapter it tells you abot how she got a certain idea for a book, from her life.
3: That she remembers little details from her childhood and you can tell she puts a lot of hard work into writing.
I recommend this book to all Jacqueline Wilson fans and if you haven't read one of Jacqueline Wilson's books before, READ ONE NOW!! :D I reckon mostly girls should read this (not saying any guys can't read her books) Yrs 5-9 :)
I rate it 4\5 :)
